piDock is built on .NET 8, and needs the matching Desktop Runtime to run. Most recent Windows PCs already have it. If setup doesn't find it, it offers to download and install Microsoft's official runtime for you automatically - you don't need to track this down yourself. If your PC has no internet access at all, grab it manually first from dotnet.microsoft.com (look for ".NET Desktop Runtime 8, x64" or "arm64" to match your PC).
piDock-Setup.exe isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may flag it as an unrecognized publisher on first run. To confirm your download matches what we actually published, check its SHA-256 checksum on the changelog page against your own copy.
